Clinic Purpose:
Through the years, the Gem State Stampede Rodeo Committee has been dedicated to producing the family event of a Professional rodeo during the North Idaho State Fair, as well as, hosting and promoting junior rodeos and clinics throughout the region to encourage participation in rodeo. The committee is continues its efforts by holding the 2nd annual Bareback & Saddle Bronc Rodeo Clinic with the intent of giving Northwest cowboys the chance to learn these rodeo events from the ground up. This clinic will give a comprehensive look at the fundamentals of the sport and allow the students to learn the correct way from successful rodeo cowboys. The committee’s hope is to create an opportunity for local youth to join the sport of rodeo and pursue the western sports lifestyle. This clinic is also sponsored and supported by the Columbia River Circuit and its Rodeo Committees.

The school will encompass one 3-day weekend, starting with the basics of etiquette, equipment, & safety followed by dry work and conditioning with spur board, Mighty Broncy and saddle horses and completing with live rides as approved by clinicians. The clinic will focus heavily on technique and consistency to instill a work ethic to better prepare the students for the sport. All while enjoying quality instruction and camaraderie with mentors and fellow students. PRCA & Pro-West Rodeo permits will be available for top students in each event that meet association requirements and instructor recommendations. Clinic Starts at 9:00 AM each day.
